  • RumplestilskinWolf says:

i think this video is supposed to be a bit of humour, not an excuse for youtubers to flash pretentious philosophical statements.

  • bedgyro says:

While I’m sure he expressed ideas about the proper use of apostrophes and verb tenses, he is most famous for his work as a literary critic, writing philosophy on aesthetics, and as the primary founder of German Romanticism.

For the record (especially if English is not your primary language) the correct phrasing of your question would be, “I’m not familiar with Schlegel; what did he write about?”

(I also just realized YouTube removes actual quote and apostrophe marks.)

  • omgtkseth says:

You like Popper? Someone recommended me reading him, but I’m not sure where should I start. Would you recommend me something?

  • jimmy13United says:

i don’t think that you could understand it. (what did he wrote about)

  • omgtkseth says:

Im not familiarized with Schlegel, what did he wrote about?

  • Plopkap says:

Als je weet dat het een Hollander is weet je ook dat je dat niet tegen hem hoeft te zeggen.

  • Plopkap says:

“I drink therefore i am” that’s quite brilliant lol

  • GarthGerard says:

I’ve always thought of Descartes as a dishonest skeptic. Specifically, he raises a great skeptical challenge, and then avoids it with an intellectual slight of hand, i.e. God exists ergo I can’t be decieved.

  • Ponder65 says:

    I have… successfully ;)

  • daisytinabeckybubble says:

    “Bibo, ergo sum.”

  • freakshowNfunnyface says:

  • moviemania01 says:

Yeah, I was taught he was a sceptic too, and I rather thought that after reading Meditations I, but just my opinion

  • SparkyCola3 says:

What does it matter to you? You’re criticising them because they like monty python and they also like talking about philosophy? If you’re not interested, then don’t respond.

  • maestroporvida says:

Umm…aren’t you supposed to just be laughing cuz this is monty python? I don’t think you were actuallysupposed to debate philosophy…but then maybe ‘you argue on youtube, therefore you are?’

  • mohamedbongfish says:

no. he used a sceptism as a weapon against himself. he was never persuaded by any sceptical argument

  • skeetinmyhair says:

    He was a semi-skeptic
